We traveled Oz for 1 year, and our stay at Kalbarri Backpackers Yha was the best we had! The spacious rooms and kitchens were perfect for our needs. The large sheltered outside sitting area was a great place to relax. We loved the brand new BBQs and the fact that it was just a 1-minute walk to the water. We also made good use of the various and cheap rental gear available, such as bikes, canoes, and snorkel gear. The staff was mega friendly and helpful - we will definitely be back!
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

We were in awe of the stunning views and enjoyed watching the waves crash against the rocks. It was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever.
My wife says that having a playground or outdoor activities for the kids would have been great.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, overall clean. The bathrooms are much better than most hostels. The showers have awesome water pressure and come with complimentary shower gel, soap, and hand towels. The communal area outside is nice, with comfy old couches on the verandas.
Felt very well looked after, no complaints whatsoever.

The value for money at this backpackers was outstanding. The room was comfortable and offered great views. The location was fantastic, just a minute walk to the water. The staff treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Menu for breakfast could be improved with more variety.

The owner, Darren, was welcoming and friendly, and he had just taken over the property a few days before our stay. Despite the older appearance of the accommodations, everything was actually quite clean and well-equipped. Darren also provided us with great advice on where to visit and eat during our stay, making our first Australian hostel experience a success! We wish Darren all the best and are sure he will do an amazing job in the future!
The cleanliness of the room was extremely disappointing. There was dust everywhere, I could literally write my name on the skirting boards.

Unbelievable location, just a stone's throw from the beautiful beach and a convenient IGA store. The receptionist staff were incredibly awesome, super friendly and nice. The communal area outside was mind-blowing, with comfy old couches on the verandas. The bathrooms were jaw-droppingly better than most hostels, with hot showers, awesome water pressure, and complimentary shower gel, soap, and hand towels. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a game-changer, and the shared kitchen was well-equipped for all our cooking needs. The air conditioning kept us cool, and the laundry facilities were a great help. We loved the saltwater pool and the leisure/TV room, which had board games for some extra fun. The wide range of outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, snorkeling, horseback riding. The beach access was fantastic, and we enjoyed lounging on the sun loungers and beach umbrellas. The locker room provided a secure place for our belongings. We really appreciated the free airport shuttle and the strict no-smoking policy on site. our stay was unforgettable, thanks to the fantastic amenities and the helpful and friendly staff.

The rooms at Kalbarri Backpackers Yha are like a cozy little retreat. I loved the air conditioning, it kept me cool during the hot summer days. The shared bathroom was always clean, which was a pleasant surprise. It made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The only thing I didn't quite like was the shared bathroom, but that's just my personal preference.

I was impressed with the charming decor of the hotel. The common areas were beautifully adorned with vibrant artwork and cozy furnishings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior, I appreciate hotels that cater to our needs, and I found this hotel to be well-suited for older guests. The hallways were spacious and well-lit, making it easy to navigate with limited mobility. Furthermore, the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of various amenities, such as restaurants and shops, which is especially helpful for seniors like myself.
The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people is to have more assistance available from the staff. While the children working there were friendly and helpful, there were times when they seemed overwhelmed and unable to promptly address our needs.
